Scott Stalker was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma and raised in Batesville, Arkansas. He received a bachelor of science in agriculture from the University of Arkansas in 1988 and his juris doctor degree from the University of Arkansas in 1991. He was admitted to the bar in Arkansas and U.S. District Court, Eastern and Western Districts of Arkansas. He has practiced law for 29 years, beginning with his private practice in 1991. He served on the board of Legal Aid of Northeast Arkansas, and he has received the Outstanding Volunteer Award from the Legal Aid of Arkansas three times. He served as Batesville’s city attorney from 1999-2010.
